Ideas for the film Narrative

Plot Synopsis:

The beginning of my film will show the morning routines of my two characters (a rich man and a homeless man) It will cut between the two characters doing different things e.g. getting dressed, and having a drink. With each different part of there routine, I will have something which set's the two different characters morals apart. When the characters go for a drink, the rich man will have run out of juice, which makes him clearly angry that he has to drink tap water, but then the homeless person will happily drink out of a dirty water bottle. These two scenes happening one after another will show to the audience that the rich man does not appreciate how lucky he is to have his standard of life. One other key point in the story is that we see the homeless man count his money, and although there is not a lot there, he is very happy about it and leaves with the money to go to the shops. As the rich man leaves, we see that he leaves his wallet at home

After the audience being shown by their morning routines what the two characters are like, their paths collide. The wealthy man is on the way to the bus stop to go to work, and the poor man is on his way to a shop, the rich man will be nasty to the homeless man by making it clear that he doesn't want them to be seen together. When he gets to the bus stop, he becomes aware that he no longer has his wallet, and therefore cannot afford the bus. He turns to the homeless man again and asks for some money, the homeless person, being the kind, selfless person he is, gives him some money for the bus. The five-minute film then ends as the homeless person realises that he cannot even afford bread, and has to go hungry for the day.
